After having built this nice private website I am getting playful about traffic. Yes, also a private website wants to have some traffic and the fun part is: it’s not business critical. So I can really play with this. Two days ago I stumbled across a backlink building service and I will just test it out, do all what they tell me to do and than see the results.

Of course first of all it all looked very easy and it actually IS when you get into it, but honestly – it took me a bit. As a beginner in backlink building the backlink service system guided me nicely to what to do and how to do it and at certain points it made me think, but pointed me to topics within my website(s), which were not fully thought through. OK, secretfreespirit.com is a private website, so I never really focused on keywords within this site – because it’s just a private site, BUT if I ever want to have cool traffic and get backlinks to get more of it then I really need to think about keywords and get them sorted out.

Finally I have two domains set up: one as a standard domain and one as post only domain. What that means? The backlink building works in a way that the backlink building system spreads articles, which their customers/members have to write – with keywords phrases in it, which point to pages of customer’s websites. Those articles will be distributed (word-spun) massively – 100-300 times depending on membership level. To distribute those articles they need space, actually article directories. Those directories are being build on standard domains of their customers. Post only domains do just post, they do not need to host article directories, but each customer must have standard domain(s).

The whole concept looks like this backlink building service is created for people, who have a bigger number of domains.

One of my concerns was: What kind of content will they put in there? Customers actually have no influence what is being distributed to their article directories, but every article is being manually reviewed and certain guidelines make sure that no abusive content is being sent. Finally I thought: ‘OK, it’s a test …’ and sometimes we just have to test things out. So I got it all set up. You find ‘my’ article directory at http://www.secretfreespirit.com/articledirectory/.

PS: One addition to waiting times, speed of their services etc.:

• I had setup my initial domains with ezarticlelink.com on Sunday night, quite late – with 2 domains;
• those 2 domains needed to be approved, they said that this would take 2-3 working days, BUT they had approved my stuff when I got up next morning :-)
